Very Little to Report

I'm continuing to run like the very wind itself online, simply unable to lose a pot no matter how hard I try or how badly I play. I've actually started to miss big street 3 bets because of kind of the opposite that usually happens, which is "Blarg, he always has it, I just call". Instead I've started thinking "surely I'll lose this time" and just meekly call down and get show a not as good hand. Just from today here is a sampling of my run good:

Admittedly during this hand I was talking on the phone to DougL (while 6 tabling) trying to convince him that yes sir playing in the 30/60 2/3rds kill game was in fact a good idea. I think he called me cause he wanted someone who would encourage him to do it, and I did not disappoint. I mean, I'd be happy to play in such a game if I was on a trip (which he seemed to be) and he's almost certainly has more talent and more money than me. But I think he cost me $4.

I can't really blame this one on Doug. I just assumed "him raise river me has one pair me call." However this hand does stand as a decent reason you're supposed to make said call.

Pretty sure I got this one right, but once again he in a way wins the hand because I stopped raising first. The run good just goes on and on and on.

Gonna go ahead and blame this one primarily on Doug and slightly on my current choice of table layout. I typically use an overlapping layout for 6 tables, but when I'm on the phone or somehow distracted it's better simple to tile them. I should have done that for the few minutes I was on the phone, but in this hand just looked at the (mostly occluded) table and thought it was a blind defense. I completely missed that the pot was 3 handed and therefore didn't re-raise preflop, and for my efforts was rewarded with quads.

And in closing, I've been continuing to play at the Bike and have been having decent results. Objectively I think I'm a winner in the lineups I'm playing in, and have been able to keep good focus for most of the day. I made a couple of really nice plays today, including bluffing a nitty old man off a hand I knew he'd fold, and getting to showdown extremely cheaply against an extremely combative friend on more than one occasion.
