Interesting Article in Decision Fatigue

I almost never do this, but this article on decision fatigue is very interesting and would seem to explain why being a live poker pro can be so exhausting. The basic premise is that the process of making decisions is very tiresome and that people become less likely to make good ones as a day of them wears on.

I like this as it validates my choice to play only 3-4 hour sessions. I have no idea how play for 8+ hours on a regular basis

I'm pretty sure I made a bad fold today because of this effect.

This confirms my theory that the average Commerce 20 player isn't actually bad at poker, but is just tired from having made a ton of tough decisions so far that day.

You know, like "how do I tie my shoes again", "does green light mean go or stop?" and "should I throw my cards at the dealer this hand or wait for the next one?"
