Love when these go our way - did you have a reason at the time or was it a frustration call?

Do you yell "eat shit asshole!" at the monitor and high-five yourself when you win with the K-high? I do...

Question. Jesse, don't you play 20/40 or higher live? How do you keep from killing yourself playing 2/4 online? Is this a game selection thing?

The reason for the call was the board came brick brick and it's pretty easy to eliminate a ton of the rational holdings that beat me from his range. He was loose/bad preflop but not horrendous, so all the over pairs and sets of 9s and Ts are basically impossible. He's most likely only raising the flop with draws and tens, and he shouldn't have THAT many tens cause I don't think he's cold calling like T8o for example, and basically by the time I'm at the river there are hands I beat so I call.

Captain I refrain from such behavior because it upsets my dog. I do smile smugly and immediately replay the hand 3 or 4 times to let my awesomeness sink in.

I play in games that I can beat. Live, this is 20/40. Online, it seems to be about 2/4 or 3/6. Now it's possible I just ran bad at 3/6 or whatever, but through 25K hands (at each level) I was a pretty big winner at 2/4 and a small loser at 3/6. Also if you play 2/4 six max online all day you can pretty easily win or lose $600, so it's not like you're actually playing for 1/10th the stakes. And in closing, and I'm realizing more and more that this may put a terminal limit on my poker career, I just don't have that much gamble in me.

jesse just channel your inner asian and you'll be fine

nh btw but this is not like sicko animal or anything so don't get ahead of yourself

nh! Everytime I do my K-high calldowns its always some bad lag triple barrelling A4. Or maybe he's sick good and I just get crushed inside everytime from sick value.

Must be nice to run good. If this hand happened with me, I get shown K3 like always.

Confirm this is not sick animal or anything it's actually super standard and straight forward, but like other's have mentioned it's just nice when a king-high call down actually works out without you getting shown a flush draw that rivered a pair of 4s and decided to fire again on the river either because it expected you to call with king high or somehow thought you might actually fold a pair of 5s.

I'm working on having a more positive attitude, and putting successful hands like this on display really helps.

If you can beat 2/4 LHE online after the rake, you can beat 5/10.
